New exhibition: In between spaces

2026. 02. 09.

Our newest exhibition opened over the weekend, where six artists, painters János Aknay, József Baksai, Péter Bereznai, graphic artist Győző Sárkány, sculptors János Kalmár and Tamás Szabó, approach the examination of the continuous dialogue between memory and material through different mediums and ways of thinking.

The exhibition was opened by art historian Noémi Szabó, highlighting the message that the exhibition captures the state of transition: the moving space where past and present, material and spirit, personal and universal experience meet.

The works of six artists belonging to roughly the same generation are brought into dialogue, who, despite their stylistic differences, are connected by the question of the fragmentation of time and the relativity of form. The works attempt to make time visible through different mediums, while personal life paths and cosmic connections also appear. The exhibition is not just a presentation, but a quiet, in-depth dialogue about passing, memory and continuity. In the exhibition entitled In between spaces, we can see the meeting and dialogue of six artists, six individuals, six characters.

The atmosphere of the opening was raised by cellist Tamás Zétényi.
